Our stories create our world.

The Liminal Learning Center is dedicated to disrupting the single story, amplifying your voices and perpetuating counter-narratives from a trauma-informed lens.

“We need to have more stories about trauma that reflect structural and individual racism. Agencies and practitioners need to be adaptive, making room for multiple stories or narratives. A trauma-informed approach from a critical race lens, grounded in empowerment and trustworthiness, makes space for the voice of counter narratives. These narratives of PoC are essential to practice and transformational change.”

-Laura Quiros, Rani Varghese, and Todd Vanidestine

Tell your story. We are listening.

“Each time you tell your story partly, or fully, each time you create a symbolic act, participate in healing ceremony, rituals that call the Magnitude to oneself as one knows/believes, note the best of what once was, memorialized now, each thoughtful new barrier set to help prevent ever again whatever twist of fate or tragedy occurred in your world insofar as you can, each time you think back to the disaster in order to analyze and learn something valuable, each time you receive someone’s caring, each time you reach to comfort others, to bless and be blessed by others, you will be healing yourself. And others.”

- Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés

Our Story.

The Liminal Learning Center was imagined into existed vivified by the explicit need for a magical community that intersects with education and mental health services. Members of the LLC are families and individuals who find themselves best served by non-traditional therapeutic treatment and magical education. As the spiritual and psychological continue to culminate, it becomes important to merge the timelines of the past, present and the future. The past holds ancient wisdom, hundreds of years of knowledge, lineage, and traditions that are sacred across cultures, the present holds our most focused attention and present centered awareness, and the future carries the evolution of psychology through neuroscience, physiology and the unknown; within the mystery there is infinite potential for healing.
