“The core experiences of psychological trauma are disempowerment and disconnection from others. Recovery, therefore, is based on the empowerment of the survivor and the creation of new connections. Recovery can only take place within the context of relationships; it cannot occur in isolation.”

Healing is possible.
-
Empowerment.
When people feeling connected to their inner power, they have the increased ability to help others and realize their dreams. True, sustainable change comes from within and empowering clients to increase their autonomy and harness their true Self and Will can create a lasting positive impact on their personal life, experience and the world at large.
-
Self-responsibility.
Restructuring psychic defense systems enables clients and students to increase their self-awareness and actually get excited about inner change. Realizing that those systems were created to keep them safe and finding a new sense of safety and security within their community they are able to relax into a humble and fluid state and make honest mistakes.
-
Meaning.
Connectedness, belonging, and social acceptance is a huge part of being in community and being human. Decreasing isolation and ostracization community members are able to learn from those that are different from them and find a deeper connection that is life-giving.
